| Not many companies have a family tree, but McGraw Davisson Stewart, Realtors does, one that stretches back to 1935 when Dan Davisson, Jr. went to work for Whiteside and Whiteside. He was a native Tulsan who grew up in real estate environment with his father, Dan. J. Davisson, Senior. Two other outstanding ancestors are Kenneth Crouch, a son of Tulsa pioneers, and Lee Mulhall who came to Tulsa in 1936 as a contractor and homebuilder.
Tulsa also has a long and proud history. It is written in the integral role the city played in the creation of this nation's petroleum industry. Oil barons carved huge fortunes out of the region's bounty and reinvested a portion of their wealth back into the community. They did this in the form of construction; the first high-rise buildings, business centers, and housing additions. They also built stately mansions, many of which still stand as a testimony of their vision and business acumen.
A parallel interest in vision and business sense is evident in the significant role McGraw has played in Tulsa's real estate community. With the firm's background and continuing attention to serving clients, it's no wonder that today it is Tulsa's leading real estate company, McGraw has twelve offices in the Tulsa area and more than five hundred full time sales associates. Throughout the company they still follow their original mission statement, which states in part, "…we understand that it is the client's needs that drive all of the priorities of our organization." Perhaps that accounts for why their trademark green yard signs are such a familiar sight in Tulsa.
Although they are firmly rooted in Tulsa's history, McGraw Davisson Stewart is on the cutting edge of technology. Their easily navigated website averages over four million hits a month. The Spring Tour Celebration, which they introduced almost two decades ago, continues the tradition of holding almost all their listings open on a designated spring Sunday. Then there is the sixty-minute program on KJRH, which showcases their home inventory, and Selections Magazine, which bundles current listings with the popular Tulsa People magazine. |
